Sculpt a Better Body With CoolSculpting® & EMSCULPT NEO®

Have you hit a plateau in your body contouring efforts? You’re doing all the right things—eating right, exercising regularly, and getting plenty of rest—but you’re not seeing the expected results. Those love handles are still pinchable, and your abs remain hidden under a stubborn belly bulge. You sound like an ideal candidate for EMSCULPT NEO and CoolSculpting treatments at our Houston, TX, medspa.

These non-invasive body contouring treatments are excellent for men and women who are already in good shape but want to create a more sculpted appearance through fat reduction and muscle toning. CoolSculpting and EMSCULPT NEO aren’t substitutes for a healthy lifestyle; they’re supplements.

Two Treatments, Two Technologies

The field of nonsurgical body contouring procedures includes multiple options. As the leading med spa in Houston, we personally test body sculpting treatments and evaluate the clinical research of each one before they find a place on our menu of procedures.

CoolSculpting is the groundbreaking “fat-freezing” treatment introduced more than 10 years ago. EMSCULPT NEO arrived on the market much more recently but is equally innovative, combining high-intensity, focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) technology with radiofrequency (RF) energy to stimulate muscle contractions.

Which Treatment Is Right for You?

Choosing a body contouring treatment depends primarily on your goals. At Ovation Med Spa, our aesthetic specialists help guide patients to the most appropriate procedure after a consultation. Both CoolSculpting and EMSCULPT NEO—in addition to other non-invasive body contouring treatments available at our med spa—provide unique benefits.

Here’s a closer look at each treatment:

CoolSculpting

With multiple applicators designed specifically for treating certain areas of the body, CoolSculpting is the most versatile nonsurgical body contouring treatment. Besides the abdominal area, CoolSculpting can reduce unwanted fat in these areas:

  • Upper arms
  • Inner and outer thighs
  • Upper and lower back
  • Under the chin
  • Flanks
  • Banana rolls (just below the buttocks)

CoolSculpting applicators deliver carefully controlled cooling to the treatment area, gradually lowering the temperature below the skin’s surface. The fat-freezing process, called cryolipolysis, works because fat cells are vulnerable to cool temperatures that aren’t cold enough to affect skin cells or other tissue in the treatment area. The reduced temperature stimulates the body’s inflammatory response, resulting in the death of the fat cells. The body’s lymphatic system naturally removes the dead cells.

As with most nonsurgical body contouring procedures, patients who schedule more than 1 treatment session typically see the best results. Most patients see their results about 3 months after their final treatment.

What Does a CoolSculpting Treatment Feel Like?

Most CoolSculpting applicators use suction to pull the targeted fat up between cooling panels. When this occurs, patients will feel a tugging or pulling sensation. During the initial 5 or so minutes of a treatment session, the intense cooling may cause patients to experience tingling or stinging in the treatment area until it becomes numb. Once that tingling subsides, patients are comfortable enough to read, scroll through their smartphones, or even nap until the procedure is complete.

How Much Does CoolSculpting Cost?

The cost of CoolSculpting depends on the number of areas being treated. The cost for a single area is $1,600. Patients save when they treat more than one area. (If you’re getting CoolSculpting for “love handles,” each side is considered one area.)

EMSCULPT NEO

What separates EMSCULPT NEO from CoolSculpting and similar procedures is that patients can build muscle and burn fat. EMSCULPT NEO is a next-generation device cleared by the FDA that produces results more efficiently than the original EMSCULPT device. It’s the first non-invasive treatment of its kind, stimulating involuntary muscle contractions with electromagnetic technology. This muscle stimulation activates more muscle fibers than you can achieve through normal exercise. Contracting repeatedly without rest stresses the muscles, triggering rapid changes at the cellular level that increase muscle size and strength. At the same time, the device delivers thermal energy using radiofrequency (RF) technology to reduce fat.

EMSCULPT NEO tightens, tones, and strengthens the large muscle groups of the abdomen and buttocks and smaller body areas, including the upper arms, thighs, and calves. The result is increased muscle definition and reduced circumference.

Multiple treatment sessions are needed to produce optimal results. We typically recommend scheduling 4 sessions, spaced 2 to 5 days apart.

What Does an EMSCULPT NEO Treatment Feel Like?

When the device sends high-intensity electromagnetic energy to the targeted muscles, you’ll feel the muscles contract powerfully. At the same time, the RF energy heats the area, reaching its maximum intensity within about 5 minutes. The procedure isn’t painful, but you’ll definitely feel the results afterward. When you consider that a 30-minute EMSCULPT NEO treatment session stimulates thousands of muscle contractions without rest, you’ll feel like you pushed through a particularly strenuous workout.

How Much Does EMSCULPT NEO Cost?

At Ovation Med Spa, the price of a single EMSCULPT NEO treatment is $1,125. The cost for a package of 4 treatment sessions is $3,600, a savings of 20%.
