ShapeScale uses photogrammetry — capturing hundreds of high-resolution images as a depth sensor and camera rotate around your body in under 60 seconds. Advanced AI and machine learning (trained on paired DEXA + 3D scan data across diverse populations) reconstruct your body in photorealistic 3D and calculate precise body composition metrics. During Your Scan
You'll step onto the ShapeScale platform in one of our private suites at our Woodway Drive office in Uptown Houston — the same office where clients from River Oaks, Tanglewood, and the Energy Corridor do their body contouring treatments. Form-fitting clothing is recommended for the most accurate scan. Stand still as the automated scanner rotates around you — the entire process takes under 60 seconds. No radiation, no discomfort, completely non-invasive.
Reviewing Your Results
Your photorealistic 3D model is available immediately on the ShapeScale app (iPhone, iPad, Mac). Your Ovation provider will walk through your body composition data, point out areas of change, and show you heatmap comparisons if you've had previous scans. This data informs your treatment plan — showing exactly which areas have the most to gain from CoolSculpting, EMSCULPT Neo, or skin tightening.
Tracking Over Time
We recommend scanning before starting any body contouring protocol — whether you're a Memorial Park runner tracking muscle gain or a Tanglewood mom monitoring post-pregnancy progress, then at key intervals (typically 6, 12, and 16 weeks) to track progress. Each scan adds to your visual timeline — creating a detailed record of your transformation. Many clients find the visual comparisons more motivating than any number on a scale.
