What is the difference between ablative and non-ablative lasers?

Ablative lasers are the most significant way to combat the signs of aging. Ablative lasers are used to completely remove the outermost layers of skin, encouraging the skin underneath to produce collagen and restructure in the healing process, resulting in tighter, smoother, younger-looking skin. The trade-off is a longer recovery period of about 1-2 weeks. Non-ablative lasers are far less invasive and require little to no downtime at all. However, a series of treatments is usually necessary to achieve the desired results with this type of laser. Non-ablative devices heat the deeper layers of skin to produce collagen without damaging the surface.

What is the recovery like after a HALO treatment?

Because our state-of-the-art HALO device combines ablative and non-ablative laser technology, you don't have to sacrifice significant results for minimal recovery time. While you may experience slight redness or tenderness immediately following your appointment, you may return to your daily routine and even wear makeup the next day!

Can I only use the HALO laser on my face?

No! Our HALO laser device can be used on the face, neck, and décolletage.
